Cable Car

I know a lot of people will find this quite humorous, but I don't care. Actually I was quite surprised at myself when I discovered I actually liked this song. Anyway, this song describes sooooo many things going on in my life and I was feeling.... shall we say.... morose? So here goes.

I never knewI never knew that everything was falling through
That everyone I knew was waiting on a queue
To turn and run when all I needed was the truth
But that's how it's got to be
It's coming down to nothing more than apathy
I'd rather run the other way than stay and see
The smoke and who's still standing when it clears
Everyone knows I'm in
Over my headOver my head
With eight seconds left in overtime
She's on your mindShe's on your mind
Let's rearrange
I wish you were a stranger I could disengage
Just say that we agree and then never change
Soften a bit until we all just get along
But that's disregard
Find another friend and you discard
As you lose the argument in a cable car
Hanging above as the canyon comes between
Everyone knows I'm in
Over my headOver my head
With eight seconds left in overtime
She's on your mindShe's on your mind
Everyone knows I'm in
Over my headOver my head
With eight seconds left in overtime
She's on your mindShe's on your mind
And suddenly I become a part of your past
I'm becoming the part that don't last
I'm losing you and its effortless
Without a sound we lose sight of the ground
In the throw around
Never thought that you wanted to bring it down
I won't let it go down till we torch it ourselves
And everyone knows I'm in
Over my headOver my head
With eight seconds left in overtime
She's on your mindShe's on your mind

I am sorry for your pain but I am glad you can find ways to express it instead of bottling it up inside. Just remember....there are those of us in your life who will never turn and run....that is unless we are running TOWARD you. I know you already know that but it never hurts to hear it again. I love you more than you can know. Mama

I love this song!! Music can be a necessary emotional outlet!! Its amazing how you can find a song that expresses everything you are feeling in a way that you never would have been able to express it. MUSIC ROCKS!! Plus music can help you remember some really good times. I still cry anytime I hear a song from DC, or see a clip. Like the clips I put on my myspace. They all reminded me of you and our DC nights. Miss you and love you SO MUCH!!!!

Music is very powerful. I used to laugh when they made our parents come to these essemblies in high school that protrayed the evils of rock music. They would take lyrics from Kiss and Death Leopard(popular in my time) and tell our parents they should ban us from music. They would play songs backwards that supposedly talked about drugs and suicide. I thought it was ridiculous then and I think it is ridiculous now. Sometimes you want to scream, curse, throw things but you don't really want to trash your own house. LOL So instead, you can just play music that "gets" what you are going through, crank it up, and bang your head to it. SO crank it up girl!

On that note, Jeff and I laugh at our neighbor's kid. He is a teen ager and going through normal s--t. He goes up and down his round singing rap music really loud. The lyrics would shock any grandmother and out here in the country the words really carry. He sucks at singing but I think it is theraputic (spelling???) for him so I say sing away.
